Conclusion
Congratulations! Your Quest is almost complete.
The final step is to complete an explanation letter of your Scatter Plot Quest. This letter should be in business letter format (see example below) and should clearly explain the process you underwent to gather and process your scatter plot data. Each step should be explained in detail, leaving nothing in question.
Example Letter

Joplin Globe

Joplin, Mo 64804
To Whom It May Concern:
We are writing this letter to convince you to warn the people of Joplin that the price of movie tickets will continue to rise until it will not be affordable to go. In fact we are encourages people not go to the movies because it costs too much. In order to do this, we first needed to know if there is a trend in the rising cost of movie tickets. So we researched the cost of movie tickets on the World Wide Web. We found a website, http://www.boxofficemojo.com/about/adjuster.htm, that gave us average movie ticket prices over the past 100 years. We then copy and pasted this data into an excel document so that we could check to see if there was a constant trend. After putting the data in excel, we used the Chart Wizard to make a scatter plot of the data from 1960 to the present. Below is the result of this step.

You will notice that we added a trend line to the graph and included the actual equation of the line as well as the R2 value. It appears that the data has a linear trend so we chose a linear equation to fit the data. This appears to be a pretty accurate decision since the R2 value is close to 1.
The equation, y – 0.1323x – 259.19 will allow us to predict the price of a movie ticket in the future by plugging in the year for x and simplifying. We believe that the cost of a movie ticket in 2020 will be on average $8.06 since (0.1323)(2020)- 259.19 = 8.056. Similarly, we believe that the cost of a movie ticket in 3000 will be on average $137.71 since (0.1323)(3000) – 259.19 = 137.71. These decisions hinge on the premise that the trend does not change, which it could.
In closing, we already think that movie tickets are too high. In fact, the price of a ticket in Joplin, MO is already higher than the average ($9 compared to $7.20). If this process continues, no one will be able to afford to go to the movies unless you make a lot of money. Our suggestion is to not go to the movies. Save you money and sign up for Netflix or something like it. Please pass this information on to the citizens of Joplin.
Sincerely,
Concerned citizens
